Skepbook Privacy Policy
Skepbook is designed to keep beekeeping records on your iPhone without an account or an application cloud service.
Data on Your Device
Skepbook stores apiaries, hives, inspections, mite tests, treatments, queen events, feedings, harvests, tasks, notes, photos, and optional one-time location snapshots in app-private storage. The SQLite database is encrypted and its random key uses device-bound iOS Keychain storage.
Device Features
Location is requested only when you choose to save a one-time apiary location. Camera or photo access is used only when you attach a photo. Local notifications are used for reminders you configure. Biometric or device-passcode authentication is used only if you enable the app lock.
Network and Purchases
Normal recordkeeping does not send your records to Majestic Made. Skepbook has no account, advertising, analytics, or remote crash-reporting service. Apple processes the one-time App Store purchase and purchase restoration; Apple may provide the app with entitlement status but not your beekeeping records.
Exports and Backups
Skepbook configures its app-private data to be excluded from automatic iOS backups. PDF and CSV files are generated on-device. A portable encrypted .skepbook backup is created only when you request one, is protected by a passphrase you choose, and leaves the app only for the destination or person you select. We cannot recover a forgotten backup passphrase.
Deletion and Your Choices
You may delete individual records in the app, remove exported files from their destinations, or delete the app and its local data through iOS. Because Majestic Made does not hold a Skepbook account or record database, there is no server-side Skepbook account for us to delete.
Contact
Privacy questions can be sent to support@majesticmade.dev. Do not email private hive records, precise locations, purchase receipts, or backup passphrases unless support specifically requires a redacted example.
